Resume Help!

For this weeks blog, you are going to find a website that helps you write a resume. On the internet, there are numerous sites to help people complete resumes, cover letters, and prepare you for interviews. Do a google/yahoo/etc. search for Resume tip/help pages.
After you have found one, do a review of the website on your post. You need to list the website, and state whether or not you would recommend this site to the rest of the class. You also need to support your review with reasons why or why it is not a good website.
NOTE: A WEBSITE MAY NOT BE USED MORE THAN 2 TIMES–YOU NEED TO LOOK AT ANY COMMENTS POSTED BEFORE YOURS TO DETERMINE IF YOU CAN USE IT.
YOU ALSO NEED TO GIVE DIFFERENT REASONS THAN THE OTHERS FOR YOUR REVIEW.
Thinking About Employment!?!

Read this article about MySpace and Employment. See how employers are using social networking sites, such as myspace, facebook, and even google to find out the scoop on people that work for them or want to work for them. While you’re reading it, think about your networking page right now and answer the following questions.
1. Do you think it’s fair that companies are using the internet to find out information about their employees or future employees? Why or why not?
2. If I (as your employer) were to look at your MySpace right now, would there be something on there to keep me from hiring you? Note: you do not have to tell me what it is, just if it could be harmful.
3. What future plans do you have for your employment? Explain why the field you are interested in may be interested in your social networking space.

Need More Cash??

With our economy as low as ever, people are always looking for ways to create more money. Jobs are depleting, but prices are still going up!!
Read this article on how you personally can create more cash or in long run, save more money! After reading through the ideas for saving money, answer the following questions:
1. Which tip do you feel is the most practical, or that people are more likely to do for themselves? Why?
2. Some of these tips are just common sense and probably should be done by everyone on a daily basis. Why do you think people need to be reminded of them in order to create more cash for themselves?
3. What is something else, either from experience or common knowledge, that you think could help save people money? (aka: Think of your own tip for creating more cash)
